Energy for businesses
On-ground photovoltaic system. Space for your energy.
An available area can become part of your company’s energy system. We design photovoltaic systems on land based on three elements: site characteristics, connection possibilities, and energy usage.
A complete vision
The project starts from the ground up. And it looks at the entire company.
Surface area and orientation are just the beginning. Inclines, shadows, access points, soil characteristics, and site constraints influence the layout. Consumption and connection conditions determine how the produced energy can be used. We put this information together before defining the power of the system.
01
Area and feasibility
Destination of the area, constraints, availability of the land and technical characteristics to be verified on the specific site.
02
Network and configuration
The connection point, the required power, and the necessary works are factored into the evaluation from the very early stages.
03
Consumption and goals
Production, self-consumption and any surpluses are studied in relation to the activity profiles.
Spaces, components, relationships
Each row is part of a larger project.
The arrangement of the modules coordinates the exposure and mutual shading with access routes, maintenance and electrical infrastructure. Structures and foundations are defined according to the conditions of the terrain and the design checks.
The distances and layout are defined on the site: the table illustrates the elements of the layout, without assigning standard measurements.
Different needs, targeted choices
Where to evaluate a ground-mounted system.
01
Areas of business relevance
An external surface can be adjacent to the photovoltaic system on the roof, when urban planning regulations, constraints and technical conditions allow the intervention.
02
Sites with daytime consumption
Contemporary production and activities can favor the direct use of energy. The consumption profile serves to assess how much and when.
03
Projects with accumulation
When production and demand do not coincide, the power and capacity of the BESS are studied together with energy management and connection.
How the system is coordinated
From the production to the energy you use.
The modules produce direct current; inverters convert it into alternating current. In the configuration used by the company, the energy powers the loads present. The grid integrates the demand or receives the excess according to the authorized configuration. A storage system can add flexibility, if consistent with consumption profiles.
Indicative functional configuration: connection, protections and operating modes are defined in the project.
The uSolar method
From the available area to a well-defined system.
01
Soil analysis
Survey and assessment of the exposure, configuration, access and conditions of the site.
02
Energy needs
Reading consumption and targets, with attention to usage times.
03
Size
Power selection, configuration and layout in relation to technical and connection checks.
04
Project development
Definition of the components and technical activities, with a clear overview of the necessary requirements.
05
Installation
Coordination of the work processes and implementation according to the project specifications.
06
Maintenance
Programmable activities and controls based on the system, with a defined perimeter and frequency.
Why uSolar
An interlocutor. A complete vision.
With uSolar, the land, the installation, and the energy to be used are evaluated together. We assist the client in technical choices and coordinate the process from the initial evaluation to implementation, with activities and responsibilities defined for the project.
Before you start
Answers to the most frequently asked questions.
The points to clarify to choose the path that best suits your project.
Can I install the photovoltaic system on any type of ground?
No. It is necessary to verify the intended use of the area, the constraints, the characteristics of the site and the applicable regulations. The availability of free space alone does not determine the feasibility of the installation.
Is ground-mounted photovoltaics and agrivoltaics the same thing?
No. An agro-solar project integrates the production of electricity and the continuity of agricultural or pastoral activity. The agricultural use of the area requires specific assessments: placing modules on a plot of land is not enough to define the agro-solar system.
How much surface area is needed?
It depends on the power, the modules, the arrangement of the rows, the shadows, and the technical and access spaces. The usable area is derived from a site layout, not from a universal ratio between square meters and kWp.
Can it be connected to the system already present in the company?
This is a possibility that needs to be verified. Analyses of the internal electrical network, the existing connection, and the overall configuration of production and consumption are needed.
Is accumulation always necessary?
No. It is evaluated by comparing production and consumption over time, management objectives and costs. Power in kW and capacity in kWh meet different needs and must be dimensioned together.
Let's start with your website.
Please indicate where the area is located, how it is used, and what the company’s consumption levels are. These are the first useful information for setting up a concrete assessment.
